Temax insulation for insulating airplane containers ULD for temperature protection

There are different kind of airplane or aircraft containers for the air freight or air cargo of goods. These airplane containers also called ULD (Unit Load Device) are designed specific to the location on the airplane. A lower deck airplane container has a different design than a upper deck container. Also the type of airplane determines the design of the airplane container. Airplane containers are being used on special cargo airplanes as on passager airplanes on which the containers are being placed in the lower deck of the airplane. The airplane containers are used for the transport of individual boxes or complete pallets, yet if pallets are shipped, they are mostly placed on special airplane pallets

Next to these standard airplane containers some forwarders or air freighters are using their own specific airplane containers designed to their specific whiches.

Single use ore one-way use insulation for ULD airplane containers

Airplane containers are also used to ship temperature sensitive products as perishables or pharmaceuticals. To do so an airplane container can be foreseen with active cooling meaning that a mechanical or electrical cooler engine is cooling the air in the airplane containers, or a passive cooling can be used meaning that the airplane container is insulated with an insulation material or thermal blanket protecting the temperature of the temperature sensitive goods against unwanted external or outer temperatures. The Temax insulation is used as a single use thermal blanket to insulate the airplane containers. The Temax insulation can be cut from standard rolls or can be tailor made according to the dimensiops of the airplane container.

Multiple use or re-usable or multiple use insulation for ULD airplane containers

The Temax insulation can also be produced with strong outer en inner foils so it becomes re-usable. The insulation will be tailor made to the dimensions and design of the airplane container. To use the insulation, it needs to be hung up on the inside of the airplane container with a folding door which is being closed with a velcro closure. A disadvantage of a multiple use insulation is the return shipment and location so a track & trace system could be adviseble. Therefore we can produce the insulation with unique numbers or barcodes to make tracking possible.
