|
The
Temax
insulation is used as a
single one way use or multiple use thermal
blanket or thermo blanket for
protecting temperature sensitive
goods as perishables or
pharmaceuticals which are loaded on
airplane or aircraft pallets. Therefore the insulation can be
provided on rolls, which are cut to
size at the customer, or can be
delivered in a tailor made ready to
use package. In a tailor made
production the insulation material
will be produced according the
required temperature preservation
and the dimensions of the airplane
or aircraft pallets. |

The
Temax insulated Tarmac cover is an insulated
cover which is foreseen with strong outer and
inner foils for multiple use purposes. The
Tarmac cover is used to protect temperature
sensitive goods while standing on the tarmac of
an airfield in which the outer temperature can
rise or sink hard depending on the local weather
conditions. The insulated Tarmac cover will
protect the temperature of the temperature
sensitive goods during the time the goods are
placed on the tarmac. The tarmac cover has a
folding system so it is very easy to use, a
one-man-job, and does not take much space when
stored. The insulated tarmac cover does not go
on the airplane and is only used for temperature
protection from the warehouse at the airfield to
the airplane closing this part of the cold
chain. Ones the goods are loaded on the
airplane, the tarmac cover is removed and stored
in the warehouse to be re-used again. |

| How
can airplane or aircraft pallets be insulated?
|
|
1.
Completely insulating the airplane pallet
|
|

|
| Solutions
for single one-way or multiple use |
|
In
this solution the conditioned goods are loaded
on the airplane or aircraft pallet. These goods can be
prepacked on euro or block pallets which means
that pallets are placed upon the airplane
pallet. The first step in insulating these
goods is to place an thermal blanket on the
airplane pallet to prevent the temperature of
the airplane pallet influencing the
temperature of the goods. Is the pallet
insulated, the goods can be loaded on the
thermal blanket. If the goods are in place, a
thermal blanket is being placed on the top of
the goods and another thermo blanket is being
used to wrap the sides of the goods. If the
insulation is for one-way use, the thermal
blankets are foreseen with tape on the bottom,
sides and roof to tape together or seal off
any possible cold bridges. A multiple use
thermal blanket is foreseen with velcro
closures.

2.
Individual insulating on the airplane pallet
|
|

|
| Solutions
for single one-way or multiple use |
|
In
this solution the conditioned goods which are
loaded on an euro pallet or block pallet are
insulated individualy. This gives the
advantage that goods with different
temperature requirements can be loaded on the
same airplane or aircraft pallet. To insulate the
individual pallet, a small thermal blanket
needs to placed on the airplane pallet on
which the euro pallet or block pallet will be
placed. Next a thermal cover can be placed
over the goods or euro block pallet. Please
make sure that the thermal cover has a
cross-over with the bottom insulation and tape
it if neccesary. It is very important that
all possible cold bridges are closed and
sealed. |

3.
Individual pre-insulated pallets on the
airplane pallet
|
|

|
| Solutions
for single one-way or multiple use |
|
In
this solution the conditioned goods are
pre-insulated at the producer of the
pharmaceutical or perishable products or at
the forwarder. In this case it is not
neccesary to insulate the airplane pallet yet
an extra insulation can offer extra
temperature results. The advantage of the
pre-insulated pallets is that goods with
different temperatures can be loaded on one
airplane pallet. Below a few protocols are
shown on how Euro pallets and Block pallets
can be wrapped or insulated. |
