| Usage
of the insulated "no-condense"
cover |
|
The
condense absorbing insulated cover or
bread thermo cover is used to maintain the
temperature of temperature controlled
goods, specially heated products,
which are loaded on a roller container.
The disadvantage of heated products is
that it creates condense at the inside of
the cover. This condense turns into water
drops. To prevent this condense water from
floating on the floor or on to the food
products, the no-condense insulated cover
is foreseen with a special condense
absorbing system. A soon as heated air is
condensing against the colder outer
temperatures, the condense system will
absorb the created condense so no water
drops will appear. The cover will
therefore offer a temperature protection
and a condense protection so the
temperature sensitive products as fresh
baked bread stays on the required
temperature and will not get fluffy due to
condense. Once the cover is back at the
distribution point, a room temperature of
ca 18°c will dry the cover so that it can
be reused.
|
|
The
condense absorbing insulated cover is
mostly used by industrial bakeries. To
prevent the temperature from sinking to
fast, which influences the quality of the
fresh bread, insulated covers are used.
Yet because of the condense water, the
bread turns from crispy to floating which
the customers do not want. So to keep the
bread crispy, the condense water must be
taken away. This is being created by the
'Krautz' no-condense insulated cover.

| Insulating
the bottom |
|
Most
roller containers have bottoms which are not
completely closed so air can flow through these
openings. Therefore it is very important to seal
or insulate the bottom of the container before
loading the chilled or frozen products. An
insulated bottom will increase the temperature
results significant. To insulate the bottom a
single use or on-way use insulation or cardboard can be used.

|
| Air
in the roller container |
|
When
a roller container is filled, it can happen that
the roller container is not completely filled. Yet
the roller containers have sidebars which stand
higher than the filled goods. This means that air
can remain in the roller container between the
goods and the top of the insulated cover. The
amount of air will influence the temperature
preservation and temperature result. The more air
in the roller container, the lesser the
temperature result will be. Notice that volume and
mass of the loaded goods is the basic item for
long or successful temperature preservation. Next
to the volume of air in the roller container also
the temperature of the air in the roller container
determines the temperature preservation or
temperature result. If the temperature of the
goods is +2°C and the air within the roller
container and thermo cover is +18°C, then this
+18°C will have an impact on the temperature of
the goods. Therefore it is important that the
conditioned goods are loaded in the same
conditioned chamber and that the insulated cover
is pulled over the roller container in the
conditioned chamber so no warm air is packed
together with cooled goods.

|
|
Storage of
the insulated covers
|
|
To
store the insulated covers or thermo
covers for roller containers, the covers
can be produced with special straps on the
four corners of the roof so the cover can
be hung-up on specials storage containers. The
storage systems make sure that the covers
are always stored at the same location and
that the covers or not lying on the floor
becoming dirty.

|
|
Long
duration of life
|
|
The
thermo covers are made out of strong
yet light weight materials so they
can provide a long duration of life.
Supermarkets and transport companies
who are using the thermo covers experience
a lifetime between 3 and 5
years.
|
|
.
|
|
Water
resistant and cleanable
|
|
The
used foils in the thermo covers are
water resistant so they can be
easily cleaned which is important
for the hygiene when the cover is
used for food or pharmaceutical
goods.

|
Track and
trace of the insulated covers
|
|
If
the cover is used for one way or re-usable purposes the cover can be
provided with several tracking and
tracing systems as unique numbers,
barcode or RFID technologies. Krautz
develops tailor made software solutions
for tracking and tracing
systems. See page : Track
