Thermo
cover for roller containers with foldable system
fast and easy usage

| Usage |
 |
The
foldable insulated cover or BI-FOLD is a cover
for roller containers which is used
for the transport of bananas and
exotic fruits which need to maintain a specific
temperature. The cover is produced
with special folding plates which
makes is easy to use. The cover is
stored on special storage containers
and folds open automatically so you
can move a roller container into the
cover. Next the cover is closed by Velcro
straps so the goods in the roller
container are protected against
external temperatures. (See

The
folding plates make it also very
easy to remove the cover at the
delivery. As soon as the Velcro
straps are opened and the door is
opened, the cover is lifted
backwards so the plates
automatically fold the cover back
together. A special construction in
the back of the cover make sure that
the cover stays straight up so it
can be placed in an empty roller
container to send back to the
logistic centre. This special design
makes sure that the cover is easy to
use, does not touch the ground in
the whole process (HACCP) and
creates a certain logistic
procedure.

| Insulating
the bottom |
|
Most
roller containers have bottoms which are not
completely closed so air can flow through these
openings. Therefore it is very important to seal
or insulate the bottom of the container before
loading the chilled or frozen products. An
insulated bottom will increase the temperature
results significant. To insulate the bottom a
on-way use insulation or cartboard can be used.

| Air
in the roller container |
|
Filling
roller containers with the goods, it can happen
that de roller container is not completely filled.
Yet the roller containers have sidebars which
stand higher than the filled goods. This means
that lots or air can go into the roller container.
Therefore it is very important that this air is
being kept to a minimum or an insulated blanket is
being placed on top of the goods to protect it
from the air above. Also it is important to
bring-on the cover in the cold storrage room so
the air above the goods is the same as the
temperature of the goods. Hot air combined with
chilled products will have a negative temperature
result.

Long
duration of life
|
|
The
thermo covers are made out of strong
yet light weight materials so they
can provide a long duration of life.
Supermarkets and transport companies
who are using the thermo covers experience
a lifetime between 3 and 5
years.

Water
resistant and cleanable
|
|
The
used foils in the thermo covers are
water resistant so they can be
easily cleaned which is important
for the hygiene when the cover is
used for food or pharmaceutical
goods.

trace
|

the cover is used for one way or re-usable purposes the cover can be
provided with several tracking and
tracing systems as unique numbers,

| 2.
Use
at the supermarket (delivery) |
|
|
|
The
removal of the cover from the roller
container happens at the delivery. To do
this the Velcro straps on the side of the
folding door are opened and the folding
door is folded over the roof. Next the
cover is to be moved to the back side of
the roller container and tilted backwards.
As soon as the cover is tilted, the plates
in the cover automatically fold together
so the cover closes. It is that simple. |

The
foldable insulation cover is foreseen with
a special aluminium construction in the
back which makes it stiff so the cover
does not fold together and can be lifted easily.
This also makes it possible to transport
the cover in a straight position and avoid
that the cover to being laid down on the
ground (HACCP) |
