| Usage
of insulated covers |
|
Insulated
thermal covers are used as a passive cooling
system to protect the temperature of
temperature sensitive goods against unwanted
external or outer temperatures. Therefore
the thermal cover is pulled over an IBC bulk
container in which the temperature
sensitive goods as fluids and liquids are loaded. |
|
|
.
|
| Thermal
covers for IBC bulk containers |
|
The
insulated thermal cover
for IBC containers is a
multiple use or
re-usable thermal thermo
cover which is used to
protect the temperature
of temperature sensitive
fluids and liquids. The
IBC thermal thermo cover
is used a lot for
protecting heated
liquids like water based
paints against frost in
winter time. The thermal
IBC cover functions as a
passive cooling system
and is produced with a
high quality insulation
material. The IBC
container thermal cover
can be produced as a
single use or as a
multiple use cover
depending on the
logistic processes of
the customer. The IBC
container thermal cover
is also tailor made
according to the
requirements of the
customer being the
required temperature
preservation or
insulation quality,
dimensions, usage,
storage, waste
management etc…

Foldable
flaps for fork lifters on thermo covers
|
|

|
IBC
containers are being moved by fork-lifters and other
devices. This means that forks may
penetrate the insulated cover when the
cover is hanging over the IBC container. To
prevent the thermal cover from being damaged, the
location points of the forks have been
produced with foldable flaps. |
|
|
This means
that these flaps, which are a part of the
insulated cover, will fold-up when the
forks penetrate the IBC container.
|
|
|
.
|
|
Long
duration of life of thermo covers
|
|
The
multiple use thermo covers
for IBC containers are made out of strong
yet light weight materials so they
can provide a long duration of life.
Transport companies and
paint producers who are using the thermo covers experience
a lifetime between 3 and 5
years.
|
|
|
.
|
|
Water
resistant and cleanable
|
|
The
used foils in the thermo covers are
water resistant so they can be
easily cleaned which is important
for the hygiene when the cover is
used liquids and fluids
|
|
|
.
|
|
Track and
trace of thermo covers
|
|
If
the cover is used for one way or re-usable purposes the cover can be
provided with several tracking and
tracing systems as unique numbers,
barcode or RFID technologies. Krautz
develops tailor made software solutions
for tracking and tracing
systems. See page : Track
& trace
