Ice packs hot or cold, chilled elements for food or pharmacy

Usage

Ice packs are used as an energy source to bring extra cold or warm temperatures to packed goods in for example insulated boxes or Cool bags. The ice packs can be on-way use or re-usable according to the needs and wishes. Ice packs need to be charged in a cold or heated environment like a freezer or a microwave oven so they can fill themselves with the needed temperature. If the ice pack is charged it will keep the temperature as long as possible while it will give its temperature to the goods in the box or cool bag. How long the temperature will stay is depending on the insulation quality of the box or cool bag.

Flexible ice pack Ti-foil

Krautz offers an unique ice pack called the "Ti-foil". This ice pack is available in a foil which has multiple small cells (ca 5x3x0,5cm thickness). Each cell has a special substance which will grow to a big cell of ca 3cm thickness when the foil is placed in water.

Once all the cells are filled up, the foil can be placed in a freezer or a microwave over for cold or heated purposes. Because of the special substance that has combined with the water, a special gel is formed which keeps the temperature for a long time. Seeing the foil (ca A4 format) is build-up with multiple cells, the foil is still flexible.

Cut it to size

The "Ti-foil" ice-pack is made out of multiple cells. Between each cell the foil can be cut with a scissor so you can make your ice-pack according to the size that you need or want.
