system to protect the temperature of
temperature sensitive goods against unwanted
external or outer temperatures.

Mobi-Box
insulated cover / thermo container
Krautz - Temax has developed a new and unique insulated cover or thermo
cover which is placed on the inside
of a standard roller container which
transforms a standard roller
container into an insulated
container or thermo container. The
Mobi-box, as the cover is called, is
used to maintain the temperature of
conditioned or temperature sensitive
goods which are loaded into the
container.
The Mobi-Box is successfully in use
at supermarkets in France and
Germany for the distribution and
logistics of chilled and frozen food
products. The
insulated cover is mounted one time in the
roller container and stays in the
container transforming the combination of
cover and roller container into a light
weight insulated container or thermo
container.

The
big logistic advantage of this
thermo container
Seeing the Mobi-Box is tailor made according to the sizes of the roller
container the customer maintains its own
dimensions which is not the case when heavy
solid thermo containers are used. These
solid thermal containers are bigger than the
dimensions of the standard roller containers
and require therefore special attention in
de planning of the distribution. The solid
thermal containers take a lot of place in
the trucks or trailers, or they take a lot
of load-space. This is not the case with the
leight weight Mobi-Box which is also very
easy to handle.

Extra
temperature with ice packs
The
Mobi-box thermo container is produced
with a special cold storage place
in which ice-packs or dry ice can be
placed to bring extra chilled
temperatures on to the chilled or
frozen goods. The quantity of
ice-packs or dry ice is hereby
depending on the volume of the goods
and the time of transport that is

water resistant so they can be
easily cleaned which is important
for the hygiene when the cover is

the cover is used for one way or re-usable purposes the cover can be
provided with several tracking and
tracing systems as unique numbers,
barcode or RFID technologies. Krautz

Usage
of the semi thermo container
The
insulated cover with door is used to maintain
the temperature of temperature controlled goods
like refrigerated or frozen foods which are
loaded on a roller container. The insulated
compartment cover is fixt on the inside of the
roller container on to a mid section. This cover
also stays on the roller container at all times.
A folding door gives access to the cover.
Different
temperatures on ONE roller container
The
insulated compartment cover offers the big
advantage to load products with different
temperatures in just one roller container. This
can be advisable for smaller deliveries. If one
customer has for example a small order of frozen
foods -18°c and a small order of refrigerated
milk products +5°c, it all can be put on just
one roller container which prevents the driver
of going two times to the truck and the customer to
get the different products. This creates a big
saving in time and costs.
