The
company Krautz-Temax
is using a high standard on production
techniques and logistics. All the produced
products are foreseen with a unique
identification code (barcode 128) which has
a unique number, customer identification and
production information. Next to the barcode,
information is foreseen so the customer can
see the production identifications. This all
to guaranty the quality of the product. |

A
label as shown on the right is placed on each
separate product that leaves the production
plant. It shows the customer for which the
product has been made, the kind of product, the
quality of the used insulation and the
production date. The label also shows the number
of the protocol in which the product should be
used. The barcode is a CODE128 and if you want,
you can scan the barcode to see the information
that it contains. Each product has its own
unique number. This gives Krautz and its
customers the opportunity to trace the product. |

identification as quality control system |
|
The
label with barcode is also used as a quality
control system. All the products undergo a
special quality control before leaving the
production plant. If the quality is ok, the
label is placed on the product. At the quality
control, the barcode is put in the computer
systems together with the production
information. If the customer still sees a
problem with the product, they can give the
barcode number to Krautz and the production
information can be recalled directly.

identification as tracking system |
|
The
barcode label also offers the customer the
possibility to use it as a tracking system so
the customer can implement a software system to
trace the product through their distribution
chain or cold chain. |

| Product
identification for recycling |
|
The
barcode label can also be used by the receiver
of the product. If the receiver (the customer of
the pharmaceutical goods) wants to recycle the
material they can just send the barcode number
to Krautz and Krautz can provide the receiver
with the composition of the used materials in
