| What
are thermal blankets? |
|
Thermal
blankets are blankets with a certain
insulation quality which are being used to
insulate goods which need to be transported
in a certain temperature enviroment. Thermal
blankets are common used in the air cargo,
or air freight of pharmaceuticals or
perishables which need to be transported
within
a specific temperature range. The thermal
blankets function as a passive packaging so
no active cooler or air flow is being added.
This means that the insulation quality of
the thermal blanket will determine the
temperature result. |

| Temax
insulation as thermal blanket |
|
Temax
is a high quality insulation material which
is flexibel and produced in a composition of
multiple layers so it functions on cavity
wall insulation techniques. Together with
these multiple layers, reflection layers are
added so the combination results in a very
high insulation quality and high quality
thermal blanket. The Temax
insulation has a very light weight, is easy
to use and can be cut to the wanted sizes.
The Temax insulation is water resistant and
leaves no condensation, even with very
extreme temperatures. The Temax insulation
can be tailor made according insulation
quality or thickness, dimensions or
specified wishes. |

One-way
thermal blanket
|
|
As
the Temax4000 is mostly used as a one-way-packaging or
one-way thermal blanket,
the material proportions have been developed and
produced in such a way, that the base materials and
needed thermal capacity per current meter, are
adjusted to complement each other. This explains the
reason why the material is rather vulnerable against
extreme frictions or penetrations. The films undergo
also a special treatment, so that they are vulnerable
to UV-radiation. As a result the Temax foils are
biological degradable after a couple of years of
exposure to sunlight. Temax4000 is also 100%
recyclable so no special waste flow or waste
management is needed in the disposal of the foils
after usage

Multiple
use thermal blanket
|
|
We
have also the possibility to produce multiple use
thermal blankets in which the Temax insulation in
integrated. On the outside and inside of the
insulation a strong, yet light weight material is
added so it can be used for many times. We have the
experiance of multiple use of thermal covers in
supermarkets where these covers are intensively used
on a daily bases and where we experiance a duration of
life of 3 to 5 years. The multiple use thermal
blankets are also tailor made.

| Insulation

The
largest heat transfers between spaces with a
different temperature occur due to three
aspects: UV-radiation, conduction and
convection. If an insulator wants to have a
high insulation quality, the material must
offer resistance against these three aspects: |
