What is the Temax C.C.R.M. "Cold Chain Risk Management" forecast engineering?

The CCRM-engineering detects temperature risks before you ship
The C.C.R.M. "Cold Chain Risk Management" is a unique by Krautz-Temax developed thermal forecast engineering especially designed for the detection of possible temperature risks, being temperature excursions, when passive cooling systems (thermal packaging) are used in a cold chain. The C.C.R.M. offers the possibility to pre-engineer and visualize the possible temperature flows in the total cold chain and show the temperatures within the passive cooling system (Product core and side temperatures). With the CCRM-engineering the customer can therefore see possible temperature risks BEFORE the products are actually shipped. This also means that H.C.C.P.'s "Hazardous Critical Control Points" become visible in the complete cold chain so extra attention points become visible and actions or signals can be undertaken. With the CCRM-engineering instructions and extra attention locations can be pin-pointed and pre-instructed before the shipment actually takes place. The CCRM-engineering is therefore a unique forecast tool to detect and avoid possible product quality damages due to unforeseen temperature deviations.

CCRM thermal forecast engineering on your specific shipment data
The C.C.R.M.-thermal forecast engineering is especially engineered on your specific transport situation, load and temperature data. With the required data, the cold chain is visualized in actor steps and cold chain temperature flows. As soon as this data is gathered, the actual engineering can be started. You will receive a complete rapport with the engineered data and results where the temperature risks are made visible per actor step in the cold chain. With this information the customer can take actions and adjustments even before the products are shipped so the temperature excursions or temperature risks are minimized to even completely avoided.

How can you get your specific CCRM engineering rapport? It's easy

  1. You send us an email with a CCRM-engineering request
  2. We send you our Excel fill-out form with transport and temperature information
  3. You fill-out the required information and send the document back to us
  4. We make your specific CCRM temperature forecast engineering (ca 2 days)
  5. We send you the results (PDF file 10 pages) with temperature graphic flow

Dedicated actions according to the engineered results
The graphic now shows the temperatures at the end of each step in the cold chain. Now it is up to the customer to decide if the temperature forecast is OK or if the cold chain has potential risks, see step 7 with 24?4°C for example or step 9 with +14,9°C. They show a potential risk and could require changes and adaptations. The possible changes could be:

  1. Increase the used insulation quality (insulation configuration)
  2. Change in the time frame of the step where the risk is detected
  3. Change in the temperature of the step where the risk is detected
  4. Change the set-up of the thermal packaging system

When a change is required or wanted, we adapt the C.C.R.M. system with the new changes which will result in a new cold chain temperature flow. This is again send to the customer for validation. This until the customer is satisfied about the results, meaning a minimal of potential risks in the cold chain.

Your advantage of the Cold Chain Risk Management system
Possible product quality damages, due to temperature excursions (HCCP's) in the cold chain, are detected in the C.C.R.M. system BEFORE you actually ship or transport the products. We first calculate, you approve, than you transport.

Calibrated data in the CCRM engineering according to practical temperature tests.

When thermal engineering is used in passive cooling cold chain flows where no thermal energy generators (gelpacks PCM's, etc...) are used, a lot of phenomenons present itself where it is hard to engineer the possible results. If you know that in a changing temperature condition, each molecule of the product in the new temperature is showing a different temperature flow, you can imagine the difficulty in the engineering. To minimize these deviations, we calibrate the core and side flow to actual validated and pre-tested temperature results. Other influences as solar power, wind-chill, available thermal energy, specific product heat capacity, density, mass volumes, and other variables are implemented in the engineering to offer a result that is as accurate as possible.

Customer dedicated calibrations for specific CCRM forecast engineering
To create even more accurate temperature forecast results in the engineering, we can also implement customer tested temperature values meaning that the CCRM-engineering becomes completely customer and shipment or product dedicated. This also means that we can use reversed-engineering on the actual practical field tests as a calibration value. All further engineered shipments for this customer can therefore be engineered according to the dedicated calibration.
